We are looking for a daytime nursery housekeeper to help our nursery teachers to keep the classrooms clean and organised.
You will be working 10:30am - 2:30pm, Monday to Friday.
As a housekeeper you will be responsible for ensuring the front area of our nursery is clean and welcoming. You will be helping nursery teachers to keep the classrooms tidy and maintain cleanliness of the outdoor learning area. You will ensure children's bags are tided away, their coats are hung up, and the classroom is set up for meal times and cleared away after children finish.
You will make sure all surfaces within the nursery are clean, that laundry is done, bins are emptied, and deliveries are put away in the right places. You’ll work closely with everyone in the nursery to ensure that we maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene everywhere within the nursery.
The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of general Health and Safety requirements at work, and ensure the nursery meets requirements such ask keeping fire exits clear, clearing up any spillages and reporting any faulty furniture or equipment. As you will be working with young children, you must understand and adhere to our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, as well as our Confidentiality Policy.
You must be able to manage your own workload without being supervised at all times, and be prepared to assist the nursery manager and teachers with their housekeeping needs as they arise.
